Summary

Summary

IMCreator may not be one of the most well known website builders, but in our opinion it should be up there with the best. With an incredibly easy to use drag and drop builder, a plethora of diverse, professional looking templates and a very simple but satisfying support system, IMCreator is one to consider.

Value For Money

Value For Money

IMCreator has a useful free account, which is great for testing the editor and getting a feel for the service. However, this comes with a different type of price, you have to display a i-m.co suffix at the end of your website domain, which looks both unprofessional and annoying. The first upgrade account is ‘Premium’, which supplies a custom domain, unlimited hosting and a customized email account, all for $5.95 / month (if you pay for 3 years of the service). If you were to pay the smallest amount possible it would be for 6 months, and costs $9.95 / month for the pleasure. At $5.95 per month it is certainly worth it, but with an initial payment of $214.20, it’s hard to justify buying.

Editor

Editor

As mentioned before, IMCreator offers a drag and drop builder, which works naturally and is very easy to get used to. In comparison to other drag and drop builders, it is easily lost in the crowd, because it doesn’t really add anything new. It is definitely one of the top editors we’ve tried, up there with the big boys, but the only thing that lets it down is the inability to edit with a mobile mobile view. This adds a considerable amount of time to the perfection stage of building, with the user having to edit and then check constantly. However, there is a significant amount of self-tweaking the website does to make sure the mobile view isn’t completely not navigable.

Templates

Templates

IMCreator supplies many, many different templates, some called ‘5 min. sites’ which are decked out almost ready to go, of course with a bit of personalization to make it yours. The templates are broken down into trades / purposes which makes it really easy to find one suitable for you, but this is commonplace in website building services. All of the templates look professional, clean and modern, which we were really impressed by. All of the text included in the templates is relative and refreshingly not ‘Lorem Ipsum’, which makes a nice change.

Additional Features

Additional Features

IMCreator does not excel in features like it does elsewhere, with nothing really special to note. We did like how easy it was to perform basic SEO right inside the editor, which is going to be very useful for someone who hasn’t done it before. It’s useful to be able to add HTML code for users who want this capability, possibly to improve SEO or add their own flair.

Guides & Customer Service

Guides & Customer Service

IMCreator provides really good customer service, which is easy to find and can be very quick to solve problems. The support tab in the editing screen is the biggest contributor to this as it brings up a search bar in which you can look for relevant assistance. As well as the support tab, the help button is available from the editor but this doesn’t give much help apart from telling you it’s a drag and drop builder. You can get help from a downloadable menu or visit the support center, which offers How-Tos, FAQs, an option to email, and finally a forum which is mostly tips and tricks.
